Casa Desierto is a Spanish hacienda that's been carefully designed to honor the historical architecture of California ranch homes from the early 1920's.
Designed to maximize the visual magnitude of the gigantic rock formations, creating a sense of permanence and privacy.

Hand painted Mexican tiles adorn the kitchen and bathrooms, and locally made Monterrey style doors, beds and side tables, Casa Desierto offers a rare opportunity to experience a bygone era of the California west.
This was the most glamorous home (and perhaps, the most most glamorous house, period) I've ever stayed in. As a designer, I deeply appreciated how every detail, even custom light switches, were carefully considered to make this place truly luxurious. It's hard to pick a favorite part but if I had to pick, I'd have to return again to the lighting: it's so rare that a place has dim-to-warm integrated LED lighting that transitions from bright white to a cozy, dim, amber glow.
